Grand Theft Auto VI is set in the modern-day state of Leonida — Rockstar's take on Florida — anchored by the neon-soaked streets of Vice City, with no loading screens between regions. Two size comparisons are circulating, and they answer different questions rather than contradicting each other: reporting on the Extended Look puts Vice City itself at roughly twice the size of Los Santos, while Leonida as a whole — Vice City plus its surrounding countryside — comes in at closer to eleven times the size of Los Santos and its surrounding area. A state map's rural sprawl simply grows faster than its one big city does.
